Kent Lee has called Bloomington-Normal home for over 30 years. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, he came to the area to attend Illinois State University, where he earned degrees in Classical Languages and Industrial Technology. After falling in love with the community—and meeting his wife—he decided to stay and build a life in Bloomington.

 Now a proud resident of Ward 8, Kent lives in Bloomington with his wife and three children. His deep connection to the city and commitment to its residents led him to run for public office, and on May 1, 2023, he was sworn in as Alderman for Ward 8.

 Kent is honored to serve the people of this great community and extends his gratitude to the residents of Ward 8 for the opportunity to represent them on the Bloomington City Council.
