Dan BradyDan Brady brings decades of public service experience to his role as Mayor of Bloomington. A Bloomington native and community leader, Dan previously served as a State Representative and McLean County Coroner. Throughout his career, he’s been recognized for his dedication to families, law enforcement, emergency medical services, and small businesses.
 
Dan holds a bachelor's degree from St. Ambrose University and an associate's degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He and his wife, Teri, have two children, Danielle and Tom. The Bradys live in Bloomington, where Dan is a partner and funeral director at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home.
 
Known for his legislative leadership, Dan sponsored numerous bills to support public safety, including recent efforts to help law enforcement better respond to calls involving individuals with special needs. His service has earned him recognition from organizations including the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, the Illinois Farm Bureau, and M.A.D.D.
Dan has served on boards for Advocate BroMenn, the McLean County Center for Human Services, United Way, and the American Red Cross. A former small business owner and long-time civic volunteer, Dan continues to prioritize community health, safety, and smart growth in his leadership as mayor.
