To submit a confidential complaint/compliance issue you can use our "Report A Concern" page, or use the myBloomington App. After submitting your form, the following actions will be taken.

  • A residential compliance issue is received and entered into the city's system. An inspector verifies and documents any violation(s)
  • A compliance order is issued. The owner of the property is given a specific number of days to resolve the compliance issue.
  • A re-inspection occurs. If compliance is achieved, the complaint entry is closed and no further action is needed.
  • If compliance is not achieved at the time of re-inspection, a violation notice along with a summons to appear in the City of Bloomington Administrative Court is sent to the owner.
