Bloomington Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts is rolling out a new registration software program this weekend. The current software MaxGalaxy is not being supported any longer and the department has been working on setting up the new software called Active Net for the last few months.

“We are really excited to be partnering with Active Net as they are the industry standard in the field of recreation,” said Mose Rickey, superintendent of recreation with the Bloomington Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department. Rickey adds, “our staff and the team at Active Net have been able to make a seamless transition for the community members registering for programs, classes and events in the Bloomington Parks system.”

The rollout will begin this Thursday, October 7th at 11:00 AM. The registration link located on the BloomingtonParks.org website will then cease operation through the weekend and reconnect to the new software system on Monday, October 11th at 8:00 AM.

“Staff will be able to use the long weekend to roll accounts and credits out of the old system and into the new Active Net system,” said Rickey, adding “customers will see a new customer page when they begin the registration process. Guests will use the same email they used to log in with MaxGalaxy, and they will only need to select ‘Forgot Password’ to create a new password before accessing their new account.”

The weekend transition will only effect rentals, and registration to our department’s programs, classes, and events. It does not affect the purchase of tickets to a show at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts, Grossinger Motors Arena, or rounds of golf at our three courses, or entrance fees and concessions at Miller Park Zoo and the Bloomington Ice Center.

On Monday, October 11th the community is encouraged to call our main office at (309) 434-2260 for assistance logging into their new account or registering for a program.
