Welcoming Week Activities
BLOOMINGTON, IL – The City of Bloomington along with the Welcoming America Network wants to invite everyone to take part in some Welcoming Week events.
September 10-19, 2021, Welcoming America will is celebrating Welcoming Week with these events sponsored by the Immigration Project:
- Free CPR Courses: Spanish (14th) and French (15th) Community Health Care Clinic, Normal, IL Tues. 14th & Weds. 15th | 4:30-6:30PM We’ll be offering interpretation for two free instructional courses on CPR.
- Ice Cream Social The Immigration Project, Normal Thursday Sept. 16th | 5:00PM-7:00PM Join us next Thursday for an evening of connection and community celebration. Enjoy a cone of Mr. Softee’s ice cream on us!
- Virtual Immigration Trivia Friday, September 17th 11:00AM-12:00PM Celebrate Welcoming Week from the comfort of your own home! This immigration-focused trivia event will have prizes for participants including t-shirts, mugs and more!
- IWU Language and Culture Festival IWU Quad 1312 Park St, Bloomington Saturday Sept. 18th | 10:00AM-12:00PM This celebration of culture will host a variety of games and small group activities including arts and crafts, puppet shows, and piñatas every thirty minutes! Bring a friend and join the fun!
- The Immigration Project Tent at the Bloomington Farmers Market Saturday September 18th | 10:00AM - 1:00PM Find our tent on Jefferson and Main next to the red information desk. We will be handing out information on our services and local resources for immigrants.
