Spotlight: 2026 Streets and Sidewalks Report

The 2026 Streets and Sidewalks Report is now available! The City of Bloomington prepared the report to provide detailed street and sidewalk data that includes a high-level view of the current state of streets and sidewalks in the City, information about the various treatment methods the City uses to build and maintain streets and sidewalks, historical costs and expenditures, and the planned street and sidewalk programs for Fiscal Year 2027. Click here to download a PDF of the report.

The City created the infrastructure projects dashboard as an additional resource to keep the public informed of infrastructure projects occurring in the City. The dashboard provides a graphical depiction of how much work is being done and how much money is being spent by the City to improve the community.

Please note that project details, including timelines, scope, and other relevant information are subject to modification as needed.

BLOOMINGTON, IL - Beginning the week of Monday, May 11, 2026, travel impacts will occur on Eastland Drive, from Regency Drive to Hershey Road, and St. Joseph Drive, from Washington Street to Eastland Drive, due to curb and gutter repairs, storm sewer inlet work, sidewalk and curb ramp improvements, and pavement patching.
